A thinly veiled pitch for Revlon products, including a chapter on Revlon product history that begins, "Legend has it that in 1939 Charles Revson noticed a woman ilghting a cigarette at a dinner party and was turned off to discover that her nail enamel color clashed with her lipstick..." If this sentence does not "turn you off" and make you snort in derision, you may like this book. If you do makeup, it may have ideas for you.
It wouldn't be in my house except my six-year-old daughter picked it up at a book sale for a nickel because of the "pretty lady" on the cover.
