I am a respector of Law Enforcement. Many of our family and friends have been cops. They lay their lives on the line to keep most of us safe and others from killing themselves.

However, every once in a while a bad bunch of 'cops' (and I use that word sarcastically) will come along and ruin the reputation of all Law Enforcement. This is a true story about Chief of Police Daryl Gates LAPD and reveals the dirty secrets of the unit whose power and influence ruined the lives and reputations of many. They were officially known as the OCID (Organized Crime Intelligence Division), but to the people whose lives were almost destroyed they were known as the L. A. Secret Police.

This can be a very scary book if you wonder if all Police Departments have ruthless, power hungry employees who call themselves 'Law Enforcement'...or it can be a book that makes you appreciate the majority of Law Enforcement who are willing to die in order to keep us safe.
