Jonna Sanders hires Sam Barton as a ranch hand. Secretly, he has moved onto her farm to keep an eye on her. He knows that the person who killed his sister will be coming for Jonna shortly. Jonna doesn't know what to think of her new ranch hand. She's very attracted to him, but his behavior is very odd. Soon she finds that a serial killer intends to make Jonna his next victim. She doesn't know anyone she can trust...even Sam.

The first 100 pages of this book were very slow. We knew Sam was watching Jonna for some reason, but the reason wasn't clear at all. When Jonna (and the readers) find out that a serial killer is coming after her, she makes some TSTL decisions. Why don't these women ever use their brains? My rating: 2.5 Stars.
