Having thoroughly enjoyed the first book, I was somewhat disappointed in this one. Maybe too much time had passed since reading the first, but Caliope's manner started to get on my nerves pretty quickly in this book. The revelation that she had buried her head in the sand about the "family business" and had to face the music was dissected more then it needed to be, and seemed to drag on through to many pages for me.

I did enjoy the timeline of the story, and the deepening relationship she has with her supportive characters, just not enough for me to keep this on my shelf.
