This is an incredible, well-written story about the Comanche culture in the 1860's. Specifically, the story is about the Comanche distrust of twins. Generally, they are both killed or one is killed and the other allowed to live.
Once I accepted the idea that one baby could be taken by the mother and a white family finding the abandoned baby and saving it, the rest of the story runs smoothly.
Years later, Wade Morrow wants to pursue his Comanche heritage by going to find anyone who might know his story. What he finds is not what he expects.
This is a fascinating story that is a real page-turner. I enjoyed it a great deal.
