While I generally enjoyed the writer's style, I was quite disappointed in the book on the whole. There is a teaser on the front cover of the book that says "he knows all of her secrets...except one". I kept expecting there to be some big reveal, waiting, waiting, waiting until the end of the last page. There were a lot of secrets between hero/heroine but nothing that seemed to be a major reveal. I was impatient with the book toward the end, kept waiting for something to happen. There was never a significant denouement in the book - a major "third act" peak of suspense or drama. The story overall I think lacked drama. I enjoyed the development of the love story but agree with another reviewer that I found her affair with the story's villain, who is also a known rapist, made her quite unappealing and unsympathetic.
