Connor Buchanan has been a vampire for nearly 500 years. After seeing all of his friends fall in love and get married, he has concluded that he doesn't need a woman in his life. That is until he meets Marielle. She is an angel cast out of heaven whose wings have been removed for disobedience. Connor finds her and vows to help her win her way back into heaven. But as Marielle works with Connor in his fight against the Malcontents, she just may be the woman who heals his broken heart.
Cute addition to Sparks' Love at Stake series. I've always liked Connor and have been waiting for his story. Marielle was a little too goody goody for me. She never paid much attention to humans and had a lot to learn. It was funny when the vampire women get together with her to teach her some things. My rating: 4 Stars.
