My 2 year old whom will be turning 3 soon LOVES this book and two others that I currently have. I read them to her during potty training time and before bed and she can't get enough of them. She gets excited and shouts out some of the words as I am reading to her. I have all of the other Rip Squeak books on my wish list and can not wait to obtain the rest.

I heard about this series when my husband and I vacationed in San Francisco in 2008 way before our 2 year old was born and saw their bookstore. The artwork was amazing and I thought the stories sounded cute. Husband liked the idea that it was a husband and wife created series. I can't remember who does the artwork and who does the story line but either way they make a great team. I'm surprised there aren't more people with these books on their wish lists, more than likely because they aren't sold in a Barnes and Noble style store. I originally put them on my wish list because my husband liked them so much and thought about passing them out as gifts to our nieces and nephews but it took so long just to obtain two different copies that I never did get to give them out as gifts. I stumbled upon the two books that I had at the time and started reading them to her, then a few days ago this book arrived.

Bottom line, if your child likes stories about talking animals then this is a must read. It is filled with whimsy, adventure, friendship and lovable characters.
