Mercedes Brooks is the writer of the Red Choo Diaries and this is the third installment of that series. Of the three siblings in this series, Andrew in Book 1, Beyond Breathless, Jeff in Book 2, Beyond Daring, and Mercedes in this book, I'd say that I was drawn to the storyline here, more than the others.
Mercedes has to fight Sam Porter on his TV show because of her choice of employment but it is nothing compared to the fight she has with herself over her feelings. And Sam has the same fight on his hands, Who wins this one? Win-win situation.
