This is the first book in the Last Chance trilogy. This series is about a group of FBI and CIA operatives who are pulled together to work for Last Chance, Inc. at the request of the President for tough to solve cases. I found one of these books and had to go buy the other two since I was so interested in the characters. FBI criminal profiler Madison Harper understands dangerous minds. Her new partner is Gabriel Roarke, a crack CIA operative who likes to do things his way. When the two are forced to jointly head up a task force investigating murder in high places - it's no surprise that sparks begin to fly.
