The Lady Sally Callahan books definitely show that Spider Robinson is a disciple of Robert Heinlein...with puns added. In this novel, The Lady hires a private investigator to find "the man who isn't there." I enjoyed the mystery, including most of the political analogies. I wasn't impressed with the way he segued into the second adventure, requiring the Lady's inner circle to save the world, though it was also an enjoyable adventure. All-in-all, it was a good book :o)
