When a most unfortunate second murder spoils Camilla's firt big pre-deb do, Lady Margaret once again subtly employs her knowledge of the upper crust and begins a very polite inquiry of her own. No one is much pleased, however. Not her sometime beau police inspector Sam De Vere, nor her ever-reluctant accomplice Prince Paul Castrocani, and especially not the cold-blooded Staffords, who prefer their family scandals swept discreetly under their expensive rugs . . .
