What would you do if someone gave your son illegal drugs for his sixteenth birthday and it killed him? Miriam Valencia became a mother when she was a child herself but gave her baby to his grandparents to rear. On his sixteenth birthday, just as she is about to tell her son, Shaun, the truth, he dies from a drug overdose. Miriam vows revenge, and against the advice of her terminally ill mother, she becomes a U.S. Border Patrol Agent as a cover in her search for Mexican Joe, the drug dealer who killed her son.
