Death Watch (Bill Slider, Bk 2)
reviewed on

When the naked and charred body of "John Smith" is found in the burned out room of a slezy motel, the top brass at London's Metropolitan Police would rather call it suicide than blow the budget with an expensive murder investigation. But Detective Inspector Bill Slider can't ingnore the evidence.
The strange marks on the victims neck and shreds of a melted plastic bag stuck to his hair hint at some kinky sex game gone bad, yet his wallet and credit cards are missing as well. Slider his determined to get answers, yet digging into the secret life of "John Smith" draws uneasy parallels to his own.
