I just finished this after reading the first in the series. I have to admit that the retired librarian, Cathryn Penny, is a bit thorny. Ok, mabey a bit MORE than a bit. But for some reason I like these books. Maybe it's because they're very British in spite of the American protagonist. Also it might be because they're a little off beat for the average cozy. Anyhow, suit yourself. I still like them.
