This is a story of the African American middle-class during the Harlem Renaissance. It's a bit of a mystery focusing on the murder of one twin sister and the disappearance of the other twin. The story provides insight into the color/class system of the time as well as the convoluted relationship of an interesting cast of characters who may (or may not) be responsible for the murder/disappearance of the twins.
