This is Americana at its best; this story takes up 10 years after WILD OATS. This story is in the same town (now Plattsville, Oklahoma) and most of the characters were in WILD OATS. This story is about the town wallflower and the most handsome man in town.

Tulsa May Bruder, with orange hair and a preacher-father, is not fighting off suitors. In fact, her fiancée, Dr. Foote, dumped her before the end of their engagement party. Now, Tulsa is the object of the towns pity and shes embarrassed.

Her best friend is the town hunk, Luther Briggs. Theyve been friends since Luther and his brother arrived in town as orphans (during WILD OATS). Luther decides to help her by pretending to court Tulsa. By having something positive going on with Tulsa, the gossips might let go of Tulsas embarrassing engagement. Of course, things never turn out as simply as the couple plan.

It would be a great idea to buy both books; as soon as I finished the first one I couldnt wait to continue the story.
