Louisa injoyed her job as a doctor's receptionist-until her boss took on extra work-which meant that Dr. Thomas Gifford had to help out. She found Thomas to be quite aloof -and very attractive. So when she discovered he was engaged to Helena someone she considered completely wrong for him, Louisa decided she had to stop Thomas from making a dreadful mistake.
