This is a great book that has lots of side notes on francophone culture that I found very valuable. It is 400 pages long. It has maps of all the countries that speak French. It has 12 chapters that discuss various cultures and topics. The one draw back is that it isn't up to date on the Euro, so in the parts that talk about money, they use the franc. Besides that, I think this is a really great book. At the end it has various verb conjugations and a grammar summary, a small french-english and english-french dictionary and topical references.
