Kiss Me Forever / Love Me Forever (Forever Vampires, Bks 1-2)

The first novel, Kiss Me Forever, starts off slow but gets it together about 1/2 way or so through. I've seen this more than once with a writer. So, the first of a series is expected to have a hiccup or two. In any case, Dixie finds herself on foreign soil, with her newly inherited property (and problems). She falls for a one eyed vampire that is forbidden to take her life. It ends well.
The second novel doesn't lose the speed from the first, carrying over smoothly and keeping my interest. In this one, Dixie is back on her native soil. She is not the lead in this novel, but is a strong supporting character. Not my favorite author, but definitely a good writer.
