Serena Warren doesn't know what to do. Her father would like her to marry a British Loyalist, but she is unsure. When she meets the mysterious Trager Grayson, she knows she can never marry the man her father chose for her. Trager excites her as no other man has ever done. But, Trager is a patriot, working against the British to win freedom for the colonies.

This is one of those 80's romances that made me give up on reading romance for several years. The heroine drove me crazy, jumping to stupid conclusions for no apparent reason. (Knowing her step-mother is having an affair with someone, she sees a stranger on the beach and immediately knows it has to be him.) The heroine also acts like a spoiled child throughout the book. But, buried in the 525 pages is a decent romance story set during revolutionary war. I think I would have liked it much better if it had been edited down to 300 pages. My rating: 2 Stars.
