Although the back cover references in a non-politically correct fashion "Navajo Joe" the author actually does a very good job writing a love story located on the Navajo Reservation. Engaging story about a woman who is half Navajo and came back to the Reservation to find her roots and ended up staying. She fell in love with a Navajo police officer who ended up dumping her. Later they reunite in a joint effort and the romance takes off again. Nicely done.
