Excellent sequel to "Blackbird". Though it is not as riveting as the first book, it's good to be able to follow the author's life journey as it picks up where "Blackbird" left off. Because the narrator is also the author, you really feel her pain, anguish and joy as she leads you through her adolescence, high school years and adult life. I would definitely reccomend these two books, but you must read the first book first in order to relate to some of the stories she references in the second book.
