Manhattan Real Estate Agent Lacey Farrell witnesses the murder of a client and realizes the murderer is a man she showed the apartment to that very day. Before dying, the victim begs Lacey to read her daughter's diary, and says her daughter, Heather, didn't die in an accident. Put in the Witness Protection Program and moved to another city, Lacey continues to look into Heather's death. But when the killer discovers where she is hiding, Lacey is on the run and must uncover the murderer before she is silenced.

I listened to the abridged version of this book read by Randy Graff. Graff does an excellent job with the various characters in the story. The mystery is interesting, but drags in places. The villain was a surprise for me. I had guessed someone else. My biggest problem with this book was the heroine's TSTL moments. Telling people what city you are hiding out in is a really stupid move. My rating: 3.5 Stars.
