This is the 16th book in the series. I would highly recommend starting from the beginning.

Michael has volunteered to be an on call firefighter and his first call is to the Church. Upon arriving to the fire they found out it is no fire but a terrible prank. Meg to the rescue to help all the churches get back on track after the pranks being pulled. One prank goes too far and a parishioners loses their life. Can Meg figure out who and why?

I feel her latest stories have been lacking the colorful flair her earlier stories held. They are still well written.
