Straaaange book! On the back cover this book was listed as "An Entertainment Weekly Top Ten Book of the Year". Okaaay...another blurb reports that this book "promotes visceral responses of laughter, wincing and retching on nearly every page". Now, THAT I can believe. Well, except for the laughter part.
I prefer to think that it's much more twisted than funny. Adults having sex with thirteen year olds, allowing them to quit school, stay home and smoke pot, etc.
Language is awful and I'm not a prude.
Thought awhile ago that if I wasn't such a book lover, I'd put this one in the garbage. Guess if it's a top ten book, SOMEBODY must like it! LOL
Oh, well, here's to saving the sacrifice of a perfectly good tree...
