This is book #2 Book, #1 being Courting Ruth, in this series. I have started as usual anywhere i can get a book and it happened to be with book #2. It seemed to hold it's own but i will go back and read the first one because i liked this one so much. It was an easy read and the flow was so smooth i found myself thinking just one more page before i start dinner and before i knew it i was half way thru the book. An endearing story of a young woman who loves animals and is a bit of a tomboy. her father has died and she must help hold the homefront down. She has a long time friend who is in love with her but is afraid to tell her. She also has met the local vet who is not of her faith and there is a bit of attraction, which makes for an interesting story. I really enjoyed this read and now want to catch up with the other from this series.
