Wild Heather is the first in a series of three books about sisters. Their father's will instructs them to sell the farm and find the life they wanted. They all pursue their dream but with different results than they planned. I read the second book first so I knew how Heather's story ended, but not how she got there. They are all fun books, the sisters very different. I liked the way the stories mesh from book to book. The characters are believable, the stories fun. It is set in the 1880's and I like reading about that period. Heather goes from a Kansas wheat farm to Knob Hill to become the governess to two motherless children. She doesn't give up her dream to be an illustrator for a newspaper. The handsome, very strict, father of those children happens to own a newspaper. You can all see where this is leading, but with some twists inbetween. Read and enjoy.
