This is a sequel to Summer of My German Soldier, which is an excellent story. This book, however, was very disappointing. Patty complains on and on about her upbringing and her distant, abusive parents. Her obsession with Meeting Anton's mother gets very old. However, the book does have a satisfying ending. Patty finally learns to let go.
