A Good Day to Kill (Byrnes Family Ranch, Bk 6)

The series is good and relaxing to read, but my complaint is that I wasn't looking for a Christian cowboy book series--I really wanted a good western, I really wanted to like this series but got tired of the endless prayers and Christian commandment lessons...there are other cowboy writers out there who are just as good. Also, they're short, so every page includes what they got up and ate, what they ate for lunch, what they ate for dinner. Between those two things there were some pages of actual storyline:) I would have liked more character development and interaction between the characters than the daily 'how is the ranch doing meetings'. I love a good Western, but not sure this would be the author I'd recommend first to someone else. Sorry. Also, Blood on the Verde River was really not very good for all the reasons above.
