J.R. Ward (or should I say Jessica Bird) writes an unbelievably great story of a high maintenance millionaire socialite and deadly serious body guard. Both characters are painted with every color in the emotional spectrum.

While Grace Hall is beautiful and wealthy, she still works damn hard running the family's foundation. She can fend for herself with evil backstabbers at work, an unknown sister popping up from the woodworks, and a super sexy, dedicated only to his work security specialist.

John Smith (great name, btw Ms. Ward!) probably has more emotions to battle than the prickly Grace Hall. He's lonely, overworked, undersexed, and needs a vacation badly. Still, the last thing he wants to do is finish his contract out with his client.

There is page rippin' suspense, steamy love scenes, humorous sidekicks, and intrigue in every chapter. I give this novel a five-star rating and two thumbs up!
