English professor Lee Squires is spending Easter break in Montana as cook for the JE dude ranch where friend and owner Dave Fife is hoping that some Japanese investors, plied down with home cooking, will pour cash into the struggling JE. Lee has come ready to whip up hotcakes, biscuits and chicken fried steak, but not to wrestle her libido over Dave brother Mac, a tireless bear activist or to find a dead body with missing parts. Another mangled body later, officials are hunting a bear. Lee doesnt buy the theory, but in tracking the truth, she comes face to face with a human killer who is nothing short of grizzly.
