A good mixture of both quilt patterns and crochet patterns, although I'm not sure why they combined them into one book. The quilt patterns were designed before the use of rotary cutters and quick piecing techniques and use a lot of paper templates. Consequently they take a lot longer to make than they should if you follow the directions exactly. The afghan patterns are okay, mostly advanced beginner to intermediate skill level. You have to look past what are some atrocious color combinations in the afghans, but there is one really stunning bargello in the frontspiece. I don't normally give away any of my quilt books, but I haven't opened this one in 10 years.
