The first in the "Deets" Shanahan mystery series. He's an aging Indianapolis P.I. who's seen better days and is now semi-retired, estranged from his wife Elaine and his now middle-aged son Ty. He lives with his dog Casey and cat Einstein. Enter Maureen, the new love in Shanahan's life and enter Mrs. Stone, who wants the reluctant P.I. to take on a new case--her husband's disappearance. Excellent book; I love this whole series!
