This was a really mediocre book. The author clearly has some ADD issues to deal with because the continuity in the story is awful. The characters are okay, but seriously, the way that Rico acts with his whole "revenge" plot borders on psychotic. If any guy had such wacked out plans in real-life, he'd be locked up with a plentiful dose of happy pills. The guy would make a better villain in a James Patterson story than the hero in a romance. Even with the trauma he did experience, his actions are still a bit loco. His whole fixation with having a male child was a bit irritating as well.
Then there's the actual villain/stalker in the story who's quite pathetic. The author clearly did no research on psychology and profiling, because the crimes committed early on in the story don't jive with the actual kidnapper that shows up later.
Overall, the story is weak, but it's a quick read. About what you'd expect from a novel of this type.
