An excellent collection of 3 novellas. Mercedes Lackey's "Moontide" is set in her Five Kingdoms, a story of politics and treachery, where a young princess is all that stands between her father's ambitions and the security of the Kingdom. Tanith Lee's "The Heart of the Moon" tells of a young female warrior who has to pass a trial on a mysterious island. And rounding off the collection is C.E. Murphy's "Banshee Cries", which fits in between books 1 & 3 of her Walker Papers series and pits Joanne Walker against a supernatural serial murderer that unknown to her is tied to her past. Lackey is as good as usual, and though I have not sampled any of the other authors' novels, these novellas make me want to read more of their work.
