This was a very steamy and intriguing story. I thought it was going to be a straightforward interracial romance between a professional black woman and a younger white man, and although it was that, it had some supernatural elements that were unexpected. The supernatural made this something more than just your typical romance novel. I'm glad I gave this book a chance. I liked it. It's a keeper. I don't think I'm going to part with it. I wish the story had been longer. I really want to read more about them. They made a good couple although I have to say it annoyed me that the main character kept pushing Sean away so many times. It's a good thing he wasn't backing down so easily, but sheesh, it's 2010 and it's not unusual for women in their late 30s to date men in their 20s. By the way she was acting you'd think the age gap was like 40 years! The race aspect is not a big part of this story and if you don't read very carefully you might not even realize the two are from different ethnic backgrounds.
