Beautiful gift copy. Several years ago my kids and I read some from this book each evening. Sister Mary Rose runs a mission in inner city New York. Her van drivers who are volunteers pick up the kids nobody wants, the runways, kids dumped by their parents who become prostitutes and some unwed mothers. These children have no self value or self esteem. Covenant House tells each one, God created you and you are worthwhile. There are a lot more kids like this out there than you think. I live in a religious state and town and my relatives have taken in run aways. This book tells you about that side of life.it was an eye opener for me. I recommend that everyone read this book and pass it on! It is time that America wakes up and sees what is happening in our nation!
