For women 35 to 45, before menopause sets in and takes hold. Written over ten years ago, the authors' recommend low-dose birth control pills to ease symptoms. If you already have an OB/GYN, or do get your annual at the clinic, you should already be taking low-dose birth control pills. The authors do recommend alternatives, but always go back to the original recommendation of the pills. I believe women today are more educated about their bodies than those then years ago. Take the pills, drink a lot of water, exercise, and take your vitamins is a good starting place for those who are starting to change. Then, go talk with your OB/GYN or other health professional. For those who can't/won't, this may be a good easy-to-read book to start.
