Book Review of Microwave Diet Cookery

Microwave Diet Cookery

From Library Journal:
This is the authors' fourth microwave cookbook, the most recent being Mastering Microwave Cookery (Simon & Schuster, 1986). Less a diet book than a guide to low-calorie cookery utilizing the microwave oven, it contains recipes for 72 dinners of approximately 400 calories each. Menus are divided by season, with each consisting of soup, main course, and dessertand designed to be prepared in 30 minutes. Breakfast and lunch menus are also included, but they're limited and less inspiring than those for dinner. Combining reduced fat, low-calorie meal preparation and quick microwave cookery, this is a nice twist to the standard diet plan.
