A female takes her son and a neighbors child to a magic show. Partly because they really wanted to see it, and partly because her new child's book. But when she sees The Scorcer, as he calls himself, she has the most amazing feeling that she knows him. When they meet so she can interview him for her book, he also has a similar feeling.
She goes looking for treatment for an intense pain she has in her shoulders and neck, and ends up having a past life regrestion to the 1917's. Her magican/dr doesn't like this and is not quiet about it. He is on the fast track to a medical political career, and his mentor keeps trying to keep them away from each other because she is a single mother of a 13 year old child.
Then he starts having trouble sleeping, so he goes to a physcristic friend of his, and ends up having a past life regrestion as well that matched hers.
