So I've been reading the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon and this Dream-Hunter is a setup to one of the Dark-Hunters. It's supposed to be read between a few of the Dark-Hunter books.

For me The Dream-Hunter was not that great. It was short, which I was grateful for, but it lacked what the other books had for me.

This book was about Arikos and Megeara. Arik is an ex Oenroi, now a Skotos who can only feel emotions when in other people's dreams. He lives in the dream realm and is supposed to help people by taking some of their emotions and dulling them so that they're not that strong. He runs across a vivid dreamer Dr. Megeara Kafieri.

Geary is searching for the lost kingdom of Atlantis. She picked up where her father left off. Arik makes a deal with Hades to become human and agrees before he learns that after his two weeks are up he must bring Geary's soul to Hades. And blah blah blah.

I had no connection to any of the characters in this series. I was almost rooting for the bad guy to end it and put me out of my misery. Well, I guess it wasn't as bad as that, but I could definitely have done without this side story. I don't really need all this build up to the main Dark-Hunter story.
