This book contained two full-length novels by Jessica Andersen. Lord of Wolfyn is part of a paranormal romance series written in collaboration with three other authors. It is the third part of the series. Twin Targets is an action romance. Im uncertain if it is part of a series.

Lord of Wolfyn: So far in the series I liked the first one by Gena Showalter and I didnt really care for the second one by Lucy Monroe. I had high hopes for this one by Andersen because I have read a few of her other books and enjoyed them. I was sorely disappointed. This is the worst thing I have ever read by Andersen. The story began with so much potential. I loved the fact that Reda would freeze in panic at life threatening situations. Then within five minutes she became someone else completely. Both characters were dumb as bricks and changes in thoughts and feelings were never explained properly. It was so poorly slapped together. I struggled through the story and was so glad it ended. The only reason I kept reading was because I am hoping Nalini Singhs conclusion to the series would be really good and I wanted to finish the series.

Twin Targets saved the book for me. This was a complete opposite of Lord of Wolfyn. It had great, consistent characters and it was really sweet. The I love you exchanges were a little premature but it was action packed and fun to read. Highly recommend it. It was an easy, engaging read.

So if you arent into the Royal House of Shadows series, skip Lord of Wolfyn because it is a waste of your time. Twin Targets was definitely worth the read though.
