Gillon is from Charleston and a traditional southern family but is restless so goes to London on a temporary job. She meets Harry and Tilly who are in a dead end relationship after 10 years that is not moving forward. There is Harry's friend William who is dating Susie but who loves Tilly. And Gillon's sister Ashley who seems to be the perfect Southern girl and Junior League member but who is suffering post partum depression. And then Harry goes to Charleston and falls in love with Gillon. All of them are suffering from various issues that go back to their childhood and their families/parents. I wanted to like these characters, and didn't so much dislike them as feel that they were all just a little too self-absorbed. There were times I just wanted to tell them to get over themselves and move on. I also felt like there were gaps in the story where the author would suddenly jump forward three months and we were left to assume part of what happened without the actual telling of it. Overall it was ok but not great.
