This book was very difficult to read most of the time. There were lots of statistics, mostly outdated since the book was published 10 years ago. The problem mostly with the book is that the editor/proof reader, didn't take much time doing his/her job. The errors in grammar were horrible. I was wondering if Mr. Dennis J. Stephens (author) really had a doctorate. I understood that he kept the interview segments in the actual words of the inmates/offenders. But it was his words that I found atrocious. Of course, then again we all make errors in grammar at times. But at least the editor/proof reader should have fixed them before sending it to print.
Great read though if you are interested in a dated look into the mind of some sick people.
