Jack Reacher, ex-Military Police Captain, winner of the Silver Star; is now alone in the world, and is still seeing America for the first time.

In book 1 of the series we met Jack Reacher as he was being arrested (falsely) for the murder of another man from Out-of-town... who turned out to be his brother. Die Trying doesn't have the same personal twists as book 1, but there are plenty of new characters and a lot of action.

Die trying again has Jack Reacher high on the list of the police's "bad guy" list. This time it is because of a survailence video still of him helping an injured young lady pick up here cane and carry her dry-cleaning. However, to the FBI is appears that he is kidnapping her.

Lee Child is still learning his craft, but there are few real weaknesses in the story. Jonathan McClain narrates this fast paced drama. While I did not feel he selected proper voicings for many of the characters, he did a fine job keeping the voices distinct.

Follow this story across the country as Jack does his best to stay alive, and to protect his new friend Holly.
