The illustrations in this book are so rich with lively sketches and beautiful painted pictures of each animal in their natural settings. The African stories and folklore are often funny and also a little sad. If that is not enough there are also facts and information about each animal, its size, lifespan, and where it might be found on the large continent of Africa. Did you know that baboons live in troops of 10-200, or that the buffalo travels in bachelor herds? This book could be shared with children of any age and you'll learn even when no one is teaching.
