This is my absolute favorite book in the entire world. I cried the last 50 pages. Owen Meany knows that he is destined for greatness--just like Jesus Christ. In fact, he thinks that he is the modern Jesus Christ who will someday be crucified for his beliefs. Owen Meany inspires the narrator to become a great man himself. This book is beautiful and courageous and moving. I can't recommend this enough. John Irving is an amazing author. I also love The Cider House Rules.
