This book and its companion volume (I) are guides to basic academic writing. They can be used by intermediate and advanced ESL and SESD students as well as any nonforeign students who require basic grammar review before taking freshman English. Book II covers two skills. It trains students to write complex sentences of the type commonly found in academic prose and it also trains them to combine sentences into coherent paragraphs.
