i picked this book up at the domicile not having any idea what it was about.

it was so freaking good!!! its told from the point of view of a twelve year old, named Baby. Baby's parents had her when they were 15 and she is being raised by her father who's a drug addict. she knows nothing of her mother, just that she died when Baby was very little.

Baby's life is pretty much a mess. the story takes place during the time she is 12 and 13. its so beautifully written, and you never forget that the narrator is 12, or that she has lived more than you can imagine. i couldnt put it down- its such a tragic story, and just so real.

it tells of the people she meets, the strange relationship with her father who she loves but who is still a little kid.

recommened it to people who like memoirs (its fictonal but many parts come from the authors own life) and easy yet thought provoking reads.
